About me

I’m a second-year Ph.D. student from Peking University (PKU). I am very fortunate to be co-advised by Prof.Tao Xie of Peking University, PKU, and Prof.Chenxi Wang of the Institute of Computing Technology, CAS.

Research

Operating system for GPUs

The rapid evolution of AI workloads has driven an unprecedented demand for GPUs in datacenters, making efficient utilization and cost reduction critically important. However, it is challenging to meet the diverse performance requirements of individual AI models while simultaneously optimizing resource usage. My research focuses on building operating system–level support for GPUs to enable transparent, fine-grained resource management. First, I designed a high-performance GPU sharing runtime that supports microsecond-scale task preemption and memory swapping, allowing workloads to share GPU resources with minimal overhead dynamically. Second, I developed efficient task scheduling and communication mechanisms for heterogeneous GPU clusters, significantly improving overall utilization while reducing operational costs.
